5.1 quake hits Antique town

A 5.1-magnitude quake struck Antique town, Saturday noon, Aug. 13, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.

The epicenter of the tectonic quake was 19 kilometers (km) southwest of Anini-Y at 12:25 p.m.

It had a depth of focus of 20 km.

Instrumental Intensity II was felt in Iloilo City Iloilo, while Instrumental Intensity I was felt in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental; Tapaz, Capiz; and Sebaste, Antique.

Phivolcs said no damages and aftershocks are expected.
