The Colegio de San Lorenzo in Quezon City on Monday, August 15, announced it is permanently closing the school, citing financial instability and lack of financial viability caused by the pandemic and low enrollment.

“With a very heavy heart, we would like to inform you that due to the financial instability and lack of financial viability brought about by the ongoing pandemic and exacerbated by consistent low enrollment turnout over the past years, the Board of Trustees has come to the painful and difficult decision to permanently close our educational institution, Colegio De San Lorenzo,” it said in a statement posted on Facebook.

The college, located on Congressional Avenue, has pledged it would fully refund the fees paid by students who have already enrolled for school year 2022-2023, as well as assist students for their transfer to other schools by timely releasing their records and credentials.

The following day, August 16, the college issued an advisory on Facebook regarding the releasing of documents and cheques.
