Marcos secures $14.3B pledges from Indonesia, Singapore
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. declared that his state trips to Singapore and Indonesia resulted in investment promises of $14.36 billion, or P804.78 billion.
Following his Wednesday return to his house, Marcos characterized his visits as “fruitful and engaging.”
“I’m glad to be back from Indonesia and Singapore. However successful and productive, it is always going to be good to come back home, lalong lalo na kung may magandang balita na sasabihin natin (especially if I have good news),” Marcos said in his arrival speech.
The President said that the Philippine government signed a number of bilateral agreements with Singapore and Indonesia, which are anticipated to improve numerous important industries, including military and security, the creative economy, and culture.
He said that in order to promote the nation as an investment destination and to explain the administration’s policies and economic goals, he also visited with business communities.
He promised the populace that his administration will work harder “to bring all these proposals to fruition.”
