Mum’s the word: Heart Evangelista’s mom on rumors of daughter’s marital troubles
The actress Heart Evangelista’s mother, Cecile Ongpauco, has responded to allegations that her daughter and the latter’s husband, Senator Chiz Escudero, are experiencing marital troubles.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Cecile stated, ““It’s their private life so I am just praying for them. I know they will be okay.”
She added, “I’ve known Chiz to be a mature and grounded person that’s why I am happy for my daughter.”
Cecile admitted she hasn’t spoken to any of them and isn’t sure whether they do, in fact, have marital problems.
In the meantime, GMA, the home network of Heart, recently released a disclaimer in response to rumors that it will soon publish a comment on the rumored breakup.
It all began when internet users observed that Heart had removed “Escudero” from her name on her Instagram account.
Fanning the flames of speculation was Heart’s admission on a recent YouTube video that she is going through “personal issues.”
