NAIA labeled as 3rd “most stressful airport” in Asia and Oceania according to study

Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) ranked third in the most stressful airports according to a study conducted by travel blog Hawaiian Islands.

The blog analyzed more than 1,500 Google reviews for over 500 airports around the world and filtered the results based on the percentage of reviews that indicate stress.

In a website about airport travels, 58% of passengers passing through NAIA experienced stress, making it the third most stressful airport in Asia and Oceania.

NAIA was “beaten” to the top spot for the region by Vietnam’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport with 60.1% of reviews followed by Australia’s Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport with 59%.

UK’s Manchester Airport took the top spot with the majority (82.5%) of reviews indicating stress. With 29.4 million passengers annually, Manchester is the third-largest airport in the UK behind London Heathrow and Gatwick. That is a significant number of people moving from one location to another.

An overwhelming number of Filipino netizens agreed with the findings, with many complaining of long queues, outdated facilities, slow WI-FI connection, arrogant immigration personnel, poor transport connectivity, and horrendous traffic leading to and from NAIA.
